Experience

Acting:

I have theatre experience beginning at Millburn Middle School in Lindenhurst where I acted in four productions: The Director, Bad Auditions by Bad Actors, Places in Five, The Extraordinary League of Horrible Monsters, and The Internet is a Distract— Oh Look, a Kitten! In high school, I was reintroduced to theatre through GNHS's Green Room Theatre Company, and through that, I acted in Stealing Home, Carry On, The Perfect Ending, Urinetown, Dri-Tech Industries Improves Morale, The Rehearsal, Seasons of Love/La Vie Boheme, and Three Tales of D&D. Most recently, I played Kate Miller in The Cover of Life by R.T. Robinson.

Lighting:

I have designed lighting in high school for Stealing Home, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Carry On, and The Perfect Ending. I was also given the opportunity to run the lighting board for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and dive deeper into the cueing process. I assisted in creating a "Grid Map" during the Charlie Brown lighting process, which was especially helpful in learning the geography of hardware, as I had mainly focused on design and board operation before. For Charlie Brown, another new experience was working with haze and fog machines. After setting off the school's fire alarms a few times, the two machines really enhanced the show, and it was great fun working with them. I really enjoyed learning hardware and software from the grid to the booth throughout these shows, and being on lighting crew has been a huge highlight of high school. Having the opportunity to do  lighting for Shrek in the All State production was absolutely incredible. I learned about the process of lighting a full auditorium for so many people to see the product of. Most recently, I have involved myself in different crews at GNHS. I was on props crew for our 2023 Theatrical Review show, and set construction for the Fall Play, The Cover of Life. On these crews, I enjoyed my time learning new skills, but my passion remains in light design.

Other design:

I designed a t-shirt for my school's French program as well as the poster for our theatre company's Senior-Directed One-Acts. I also designed a logo for Slam Funk, a Motown Band I sing in.

I was also inducted into the International Thespian Society on May 16 of 2022, and was selected to be on my high school's theatre company's leadership board.
